The ‘Who’ Behind This Blog

Published by snowriter

I have a friend who has a blog. I really like the name he chose, “It’s not about me!” He has a personal blog, so, in many ways it is about him. Nonetheless, his title succinctly states my goal with this blog. I desire to focus the attention on my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

All the same, there are a lot of religious blogs. Some have been around for years. Why start another one? That is a very fair question. There are a couple of reasons:

One - While there are many Christian blogs, there are a lot of blogs which are sporadic, superficial, and seeker friendly. They are an accurate reflection of modern Christianity. This is not to say all Christian blogs are shallow. In fact, there are numerous quality Christian blogs. Most, however, are written by men. Thus, I believe there is room for a Christian blog written from a woman’s perspective which focuses on subjects applicable to all Christians.

Two - I like to write. I like to interact with others - sharing my life with them and learning from them. For some time now, I have been seeking to put the two together in a way that makes sense. A way which is edifying to both myself and my readers. A way which challenges me to dig, think, and communicate clearly the things the Lord is teaching me. This blog is the result.

Please feel free to join in and share your thoughts. Of course everyone won’t agree with me. That is okay. This blog is not about me. It is about Christians sharing what it takes to live as Christians in the here and now. It is about applying Scripture to everyday life. It is about sharing the truths of God’s Word in ways which will inspire, admonish, and encourage.
