He Will Feed His Flock
“He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs in His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those who are with young.” (Is 40:11)
If you listen to the media, I’m sure you have heard the sky is falling. While I do not put much stock in the media anymore, I am aware, financially, our country is facing a challenge.
In fact, you may be feeling the pinch. I spoke with a close relative recently who had lost his job. Worse yet, his wife’s job looked to be in jeopardy. In times like this, we can be tempted to wonder if God is still in control.
If He is in control, what on earth is He doing? Is He aware of my plight? Does He remember my needs?
The answer is, ‘yes’. Regardless of the darkness of your personal valley, God is completely in control. He cares for you. He knows your needs. In fact, the opening verse is one of my favorites. The tenderness shown. The intimate concern. The personal care.
Take heart, dear friend. Your heavenly Father knows your needs. He cares for you personally. He will provide for all of your needs. He has given you His promise!
“I’ve many a cross to take up now,
And many left behind;
But present troubles move me not,
Nor shake my quiet mind.
And what may be tomorrow’s cross
I never seek to find;
My Father says, “Leave that to Me,
And keep a quiet mind.”
